Hamas Drops Tape: Two Israeli Captives Sotheir Ordeal in Gaza Strip
Hamas publicly reveals footage of captive Israeli individuals
Facebook Twitter Whatsapp E-Mail Print Copy Link The extremist Palestinian group Hamas recently unveiled a video featuring two Israeli hostages detained in the Gaza Strip. The approximately three-minute recording portrays two men conversing in Hebrew before the camera, urging a recently liberated hostage to detail his captivity to expedite his own release.
It's worth mentioning that the men identified in the video as Elkana Bohbot and Josef-Haim Ohana were abducted during the emboldened Hamas attack on the Supernova music festival[4][5]. The footage's creation date, however, remains hazy[1][2][3].
In what seemed an escalation of hostilities, a substantial assault orchestrated by Hamas and its allies on Israel took place on October 7, 2023[1][2]. As a result, a staggering 251 individuals were taken prisoner and transported to the Gaza Strip. As of now, 58 of these hostages continue to languish in captivity, with 34 tragically reported deceased by the Israeli military[1].
Notably, a truce had been reached between both parties since January 19. However, Israel resumed its relentless aerial assaults on the Gaza Strip last week[6], with an accompanying ground operation shortly thereafter. The Israeli government hopes to escalate this new offensive to negotiate the release of the remaining hostages[6].

The Commission has not yet adopted a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionising radiation in 2023. Elkana Bohbot and Josef-Haim Ohana, the two Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, were abducted during an attack on the Supernova music festival in previous years. Despite a truce between Hamas and Israel, ongoing Israeli aerial assaults and ground operations continue to jeopardize the lives of the 58 hostages still in captivity, with 34 already reported dead by the Israeli military.
