In a bold move, CDU foreign policy expert Roderich Kiesewetter has called for the disarmament of Hamas as part of a broader effort to secure and rebuild Gaza. The German politician's stance aims to improve the humanitarian situation in the region and aligns with a strategic approach that ensures Israel's security while working towards stabilization and reconstruction in Gaza.

Kiesewetter's proposal comes amidst growing international pressure on Hamas. A group of 17 countries, including several European nations, recently demanded concrete steps towards ending the Middle East conflict. These countries called for Hamas to relinquish control over the coastal strip and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority. Notably, the document was not supported by Germany at the time of publication.

Several Arab states, such as Egypt and Qatar, have also demanded an end to Hamas' rule in the Gaza Strip at a UN conference in New York last week. The call for action against Hamas is based on the organization's hostage-taking of over two million Palestinians in Gaza, as well as its declared goal of the destruction of Israel and the death of Israeli hostages who have been held captive for nearly 700 days.

Kiesewetter has been vocal in his criticism of Hamas' actions, stating that aid packages intended for the people of Gaza often end up in the hands of the organization or other criminal groups. German security circles estimate that 50 to 100 percent of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza is diverted in this way.

In light of these concerns, Kiesewetter has urged an international initiative led by Berlin to disarm Hamas. He believes that such a move would provide a perspective for Gaza and neutralize Hamas' military capabilities. Kiesewetter has also criticized what he sees as the German government's submission to Hamas' cognitive warfare and has called for a more robust stance in support of Israel's right to exist.

Meanwhile, Germany's Armed Forces have been actively dropping humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, over the Gaza Strip by airplane. Last Sunday, another aid drop was carried out, marking the latest in a series of efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the region.

As Britain and France consider recognizing Palestine as a state soon, the international community's focus on the Middle East conflict remains high. Kiesewetter's call for the disarmament of Hamas adds another dimension to the ongoing discussions, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive solution that addresses both humanitarian concerns and security issues.

In line with the strategic discussions by 17 EC countries within the European Union, German politician Roderich Kiesewetter has advocated for the disarmament of Hamas as a means to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza and align with a broader approach that secures Israel's safety. Meanwhile, the ongoing politics regarding the Middle East conflict, particularly the recognition of Palestine as a state by Britain and France, has given rise to Kiesewetter's call for action, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive solution that encompasses both humanitarian concerns and security issues.

The ongoing campaign for Hamas' disarmament in the context of war-and-conflicts, politics, and general-news within the European Union is further highlighted by Kiesewetter's criticism of Hamas' actions leading to the diversion of humanitarian aid and his support for a more robust stance in relation to Israeli security.
