Halle's creative anti-racism event blends futuristic fun and community spirit

Halle (Saale) is preparing for a lively community event on March 19, 2026. From 3 to 6 p.m., children, teens, and neighbours will gather at the Quartierbüro Ost in the Old Fire Station on Delitzscher Straße 143. The afternoon will blend creativity, innovation, and fun as part of the International Weeks Against Racism.

The event will kick off with an interactive book presentation exploring bold ideas for the future. Topics include algae-based tableware and solar-powered school buses. Attendees can then join a comic-drawing workshop, where young participants will sketch their visions of tomorrow.

A button-making station will let visitors design pins inspired by futuristic themes. For those who enjoy games, Common Ground Bingo and table tennis will be on offer. Food lovers can sample dishes from around the world at a global buffet. The organisers have also arranged a raffle with local prizes. Winners could take home tickets to the Halloren Chocolate Museum, Hallescher FC matches, or the Moritzburg Art Museum. Vouchers for Halle Zoo will also be up for grabs. The gathering aims to bring people together through hands-on activities and discussions about the future.

The event wraps up a day of creativity and connection in Halle's Old Fire Station. Participants will leave with new ideas, handmade keepsakes, and a chance to win local experiences. Organisers hope the afternoon will inspire conversations about innovation and community long after it ends.
