The route's twists and turns throughout our city provide ample opportunities to blend tourist attractions with the sporty vibe. Needless to say, we're eager for a massive crowd and an exhilarating race!"
Cheer Stations Galore:
The neutral start is slated for approximately 13:45 in the city's pulsating heart, the Market Square. From there, the route stretches along Leipzig Street towards the Leipzig Tower.
Next up, it cruises over the Hansering, past the Olympic Champions' Park, to the Joliot-Curie-Platz and further to the opera house. The route then snakes its way between the Leopoldina, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Moritzburg with its art museum down to the Robert-Franz-Ring. Here, the peloton follows the Mühlgraben's course and then turns onto the verdant Peißnitz Island at Mühlweg. This spot is perfect for spectators to catch the action amidst Halle's lush heart and soak up the electrifying atmosphere.
The tour rolls on over the Bridge of Friendship, past the Peißnitz House, then soars over the Bürger Bridge. The cycling field then veers northwards, exploring the Halle-Saale loop, the Heideallee, the Weinberg Campus, the Brandbergweg, and the Nordstraße, culminating at the roundabout in Heide-Nord. Here, spectators should brace themselves - just a stone's throw away, the "sharp start" takes place on the Waldstraße. In a blink of an eye, the professional cyclists will zip through the district of Dölau and continue their journey towards Salzmund on the Salzmund Street, ultimately hitting the finish line in Magdeburg.
