Halestorm, renowned rock band, debuts graphic novel at New York Comic Con event

Renowned hard rock band Halestorm, known for their metal sound, Lzzy Hale's hauntingly fierce and melodic vocals, and entrancing dark music, made a surprising appearance at New York Comic Con. The band members, Lzzy Hale, Arejay Hale, Joe Hottinger, and Josh Smith, attended the event for the first time, and Lzzy Hale found it amazing to see fans in their "natural habitat."

During the convention, Halestorm unveiled their latest creative endeavour - a gothic horror graphic novel titled "Hyde Manor." Created by Lzzy Hale and her husband Joe Hottinger, this dark, eerie story unfolds in a mysterious manor, blending themes of supernatural horror and mystery. The graphic novel serves as a creative expansion of Lzzy Hale’s work, allowing the band to connect with fans in a new medium and showcasing their interest in storytelling and gothic themes that align with their music's edgy, theatrical style.

"Hyde Manor" accurately depicts Halestorm's songs and ideas, according to Josh Smith. The graphic novel celebrates the 10th anniversary of Halestorm's EP "Hello, It's Mz Hyde" and the album "The Strange Case of..." Brittany and Brianna Winner, twins who are the weavers of the dark tale, delved into Halestorm's memories for the graphic novel. Artist Sara Scalia researched Halestorm staples like Joe Hottinger's use of green guitars and his penchant for carrying a camera for the graphic novel's visuals.

Arejay Hale joked that the crowd at Comic Con reminded him of the crowd at Halestorm live shows, with more Pikachu costumes. Lzzy Hale enjoys the combination of humor, heart, and a smile in "Hyde Manor's" story. She found the graphic novel gave them an opportunity to appreciate how lucky they were during a time that felt so chaotic.

With "Hyde Manor" released, Halestorm is preparing for a tour in Germany. The band has already made a mark on the Billboard charts and earned numerous accolades, including Grammy Awards and nominations. The graphic novel's debut at New York Comic Con marked a new chapter in Halestorm's artistic journey, demonstrating their versatility as artists beyond performing and songwriting.

"Halestorm's new creative project, 'Hyde Manor', a gothic horror graphic novel, not only aligns with their musical style but also expands it, showcasing their interest in storytelling and gothic themes."

"In the graphic novel, artist Sara Scalia has researched and incorporated Halestorm's distinct elements such as Joe Hottinger's use of green guitars and his affinity for photography."
