Haddon Township's St. Paddy's Pub Crawl Draws Record Crowds and Boosts Local Businesses
Haddon Township, New Jersey, hosted its two-day St. Paddy's Day Pub Crawl over the weekend. The event drew large crowds along Haddon Avenue, with 12 bars and restaurants officially taking part. Families, first-time celebrants, and long-time locals all joined in the festivities.
The pub crawl kicked off on Sunday, bringing a surge of visitors to the area. Among them was Christian Roach, who attended with his five-week-old daughter, Charlotte. Even ten-month-old Charlie Halter made his first appearance at the holiday celebration.
Local businesses reported a noticeable increase in customers. Bricco Coal Fired Pizza, which doesn't serve alcohol, saw more people walking through its doors. Server Jackson Zalkind noted how the event helped bring extra life to the town. Duo restaurant, which had opened just the week before, also benefited from the foot traffic. Marketing manager Jay Marsdale called the timing of the pub crawl ideal for their grand opening. The celebrations didn't stop after Sunday. On Tuesday, live music, food specials, and further festivities kept the energy high along Haddon Avenue.
The event provided a clear boost to local trade, with both bars and non-alcoholic businesses seeing more customers. From newborns to seasoned revellers, the pub crawl attracted a wide range of participants. The extended celebrations ensured a lively atmosphere throughout the two days.
