Hà Tĩnh Province transforms elections with cutting-edge digital innovations

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils is taking place in Hà Tĩnh Province, with digital tools playing a key role. Local authorities have introduced new technologies to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and make voting more accessible for residents.

Across the province, digital innovations are changing how elections are managed. In recent years, areas like Hanoi have adopted systems for digital population verification, online voter lists, and IT training at every stage. Successful trials include QR codes in Cửa Nam ward, helping voters quickly find polling stations and lists. Districts such as Long Bien now draft voter lists automatically using national databases, while online platforms allow candidates to submit applications and receive feedback.

In Sơn Tây commune, an AI-powered virtual assistant and short videos keep residents informed about election details. Hà Huy Tập Ward has formed a digital team to create clear, engaging materials for voters. Meanwhile, Thành Sen Ward uses digital tools to standardise voter data, track progress, and share real-time updates with the public.

The National Population Database and VNeID digital identification are also being used to review and compile voter lists more efficiently. These changes aim to save time, reduce errors, and make participation easier for everyone involved.

The shift to digital tools is cutting costs, improving transparency, and simplifying the election process. Residents can now check voter and candidate details on their smartphones, while local teams monitor progress and share updates instantly. The new systems are expected to make this election more efficient and accessible than previous ones.
