Guns N' Roses Break Record with Most Concert Disruptions

The world's largest heavy metal festival, Wacken Open Air, recently hosted an unforgettable event in the North German town of Wacken. One of the highlights was the performance by legendary rockers Guns N' Roses, who set a new record for the longest show in the festival's history.

Guns N' Roses took to the stage around 8:35 PM and played until just before midnight, treating fans to a set that included covers of "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and "Never Say Die!" by Ozzy Osbourne's band Black Sabbath, as a tribute to the heavy metal legend.

Axl Rose, the singer of Guns N' Roses, paid homage to Osbourne during the show, saying, "We're all here because of you." The performance marked the end of Guns N' Roses' Europe and Middle East tour.

The Wacken Open Air has been a staple of the metal scene since 1990, hosting iconic bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and, of course, Ozzy Osbourne. This year was no exception, with the likes of Guns N' Roses, Machine Head, Papa Roach, Gojira, and Saltatio Mortis gracing the stage.

Looking ahead, the 2026 edition of the Wacken Open Air is shaping up to be a monumental event, with 35 artists already confirmed. Def Leppard, In Flames, Powerwolf, Savatage, Nevermore, and many more are set to perform from July 2 to August 1 next year.

Tickets for the 2026 festival will go on sale from August 3, 2025, at 8 PM local time on the official Wacken website. This lineup reflects a wide range of heavy metal subgenres, commemorating Wacken’s 35th anniversary as a major event in the metal music scene.

With such an impressive lineup, it's safe to say that the 2026 Wacken Open Air is not to be missed. Metalheads from around the world, mark your calendars!
