Annual Marienloh Shooting Festival Celebrates Tradition and Skill
The picturesque town of Marienloh in Kreis Paderborn, Germany, is set to host its annual Schützenfeste (Shooting Festival) from August 23rd to 25th. This traditional marksmen's festival is organised by local Schützenvereine (marksmen's clubs) and is a longstanding celebration of marksmanship, community, and regional tradition.
This year, the event will see the participation of King Pair Christian and Simone Hafer. Christian Hafer, a renowned marksman, secured the royal title with his 115th shot at 6:42 PM on Saturday, while his wife Simone was crowned as his queen.
The bird shooting event was a closely contested competition, with Marlon Bensick winning the scepter with his 61st attempt. Meanwhile, Ben Kieffer shot the apple with his 60th shot, and the junior shooting king title went to Marvin Nickisch with his 101st shot. Timon Nickisch became the crown prince with his 51st shot, and Thomas Zielinski became the new apple prince with his 44th shot.
The court for the Marienloh shooting festival includes Lidia Stockmann and Udo Nübel, Silke and Markus Kohaupt, Michaela and Christian Grosse, Ina and Dariusz Josefiak, Eva Kesselmeier and Dominik Remer, Beatrix and André Fejcaruk.
