In a thrilling display of precision and skill, the pistol shooters from Sverdlovsk region have made a significant impact at the recent national championships held in Yekaterinburg.

Contrary to earlier reports, detailed results and individual performances of Sverdlovsk's pistol shooters at national championships were not readily available in the initial search results. Ivan Matveev, also from Yekaterinburg, had a successful outing, winning two bronze medals - one in the "Small-bore Pistol Standard, 25m, Boys" event (МП-60) and another in the 50m small-bore pistol team event (МПП-120). Matveev also claimed the silver medal in the individual 50m small-bore pistol event, finishing six points behind the winner, Vladislav Ionov from Lipetsk region.

Stepan Loktev from ZATO Lesnoy had a close call in the 50m 3-position small-bore rifle event, losing the gold to Nikita Khmelev from Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Despite the narrow defeat, Loktev's performance was impressive, showcasing the high level of competition in the event.

The championships, held from July 31 to August 10 in Ignatovo, Moscow region, saw over 700 athletes participate from across the country. The juniors and girls under 17, and juniors and juniors under 22 categories were included in the event.
