Axl Rose, the frontman of Guns N' Roses, dedicated the performances to Osbourne, saying "We're all here because of you."

Osbourne himself has performed at Wacken Open Air in the past, joining the ranks of other heavy metal greats like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest who have graced the festival's stage.

Wacken Open Air, held regularly since 1990, is considered one of the largest heavy metal festivals worldwide. This year's event is set to feature performances by French band Gojira and US rockers Papa Roach until Saturday night.
