Gulf Cartel Operative "El M-47" Charged with Ordering Killing of Grupo Fugitivo Musicians

After a Rough Raid in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, El M-47, Gulf Cartel's Operational Boss, is Arrested

In a bold move, federal authorities hauled in Santos "N," alias "El M-47," the operational bigwig of the Gulf Cartel's Metros faction. This notorious character is said to be a confidant of César "N," alias "El Primito." Rumors point to El M-47 as the brains behind the horrific execution of five members of the Fugitive Group - a heinous act that rocked Reynosa, Tamaulipas.

Investigations reveal that El M-47 is a trusted sidekick of El Primito, the leader of the Metros faction, who's one of the main triggers of the unsettling tension in Tamaulipas.

The law enforcement agencies also apprehended two more men, seized two long firearms, three short firearms, 400 cartridges, three kilos of cocaine, nearly four kilos of methamphetamine, 14 doses of marijuana, 800,000 pesos, and 12 vehicles during the raid.

The detainees were read their rights, and the seized items were handed over to the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal status. The operation involved elements of the Defense, Attorney General's Office, National Guard, SEMAR, and SSPC.

On May 30, the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office reported the discovery of five bodies corresponding to the members of the "Fugitive Group" - a grisly group comprising four musicians and their representative. The musicians were kidnapped on May 25 as they were en route to a private party in Reynosa.

This arrest of El M-47 is a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against the illegal activities of the Gulf Cartel, including their involvement in violent crimes and drug trafficking.
