Guitar Center Foundation Gala Honors Legends, Raises Funds for Musicians
The Guitar Center Music Foundation (GCMF) hosted its 4th Annual Gala on September 11, raising funds and recognising industry legends. The event, held at The Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills, attracted celebrities and sponsors alike.
The gala honoured several notable figures. John McBride received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his groundbreaking work in live sound and dedication to mentoring the next generation. Morris Day and The Time entertained guests, with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis joining in. The duo also received the Vanguard Award for their steadfast support of music education and advocacy for arts access.
The event was a star-studded affair, with Garth Brooks and Martina McBride among the attendees. Sponsors included Audio Visual Design Group, Blackbird Studio and Academy, Clair Global, and more. Proceeds supported GCMF's Disaster Relief Program, aiding musicians affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, and their Grant Program, which has assisted over 600 musicians and 10 schools nationwide this year.
