Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein' Trailer Unveiled: A Visually Stunning Exploration

Renowned filmmaker Guillermo del Toro brings a new adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic 'Frankenstein' to life. The first trailer for the highly anticipated film has been released, showcasing stunning visuals and a powerful performance by Jacob Elordi as the Creature.

Del Toro, known for his vivid, supernatural films like 'The Shape of Water' which won the 2018 Oscar for Best Picture, stays true to his style in this new adaptation. The trailer offers captivating glimpses, including a fiery skeleton and the Creature pushing a massive ship, hinting at the film's grand scale.

The story follows Victor Frankenstein, played by Oscar Isaac, as he creates life from dead body parts. Mia Goth takes on the role of Elizabeth Lavenza, Victor's love interest. Elordi's Creature, brought to life by Victor, is portrayed as a formidable force, reflecting del Toro's commitment to the source material's themes of creation and consequence.

Frankenstein, set to release in select theaters on October 17, 2025, and on Netflix on November 7, 2025, promises to be a visually stunning exploration of the human condition. Del Toro, who also wrote the screenplay and co-produced the film, describes it as a 'Miltonian tragedy', suggesting a deep, emotional exploration of the original story.
