Guild Finance Annual Report 2025
On the 28th of June, the Neustadt Shooting Guild gathered in the town hall for their annual reckoning. Dr. Ralf Stolley presided over the event, leading the group through the annual reckoning, lot drawing, thank-you speeches, and distribution of rewards.
In this year's gathering, no new shooting king was crowned, and no offenses were presented for trial. However, a humorous court trial was held, with Sven Goesch presiding as "State Prosecutor" and Ralf Stolley as "Judge."
The event was marked by a lack of refreshments, as no salami, cheese rolls, or drinks were waiting at the guild hall. However, after the official part, the newly crowned shooting king, Benedikt Steiner, provided refreshments for the participants.
The income and expenses of a recent bird shooting were disclosed, and helping hands were praised and rewarded. Unshot winnings from the bird shooting were distributed among the guild members.
Two new guild members were admitted and welcomed with a traditional ritual involving a "golden apple." No other new members were admitted during this event.
The gathering did not take place in any location other than the Neustadt town hall. Songs were sung from the guild's songbook, laughter filled the air, and incidents from the bird shooting were discussed. However, in some years, these activities may not occur.
It is worth noting that this specific event did not provide any details about the traditions, new members, unshot winnings, or humorous court trials of the Neustadt Shooting Guild's annual reckoning. For more information about these aspects of the event, further research may be necessary.
However, in general, such events often involve the disclosure of income and expenses, the distribution of unshot winnings, the admission of new members, and the crowning of a new shooting king, among other activities. They are typically marked by laughter, songs, and discussions of the bird shooting.
At the end of the gathering, a change from the usual proceedings was observed as Sven Goesch conducted a humorous court trial. Despite the largely formal events such as the disclosure of income and expenses, the admission of new members, and the crowning of a new shooting king, there was also an emphasis on leisure activities like singing songs and discussing sports, notably the bird shooting.
