Guided coastal hike explores Murcia's hidden shoreline on April 12
A guided coastal hike will take place along the Mazarron shoreline on Sunday, April 12. The 7.5-kilometre route promises a mix of scenic views and light physical challenge, winding through some of Murcia's most striking landscapes. Organisers have stressed the need for proper preparation, including mandatory equipment and advance registration. The hike begins at 9:00am on Puntas de Percheles Beach and finishes at Puntas de Calnegre. With an elevation gain of just 70 metres, the trail is rated as easy to moderate, suitable for most fitness levels. Participants should expect the journey to last around three hours, though timing may vary depending on group pace and weather.
Those joining must register in advance via the official tourism website, turismoregiondemurcia.es. Upon signing up, they will receive details about the exact meeting location. The event emphasises safety and comfort, requiring sturdy footwear, at least one litre of water, and hiking poles. Open-toed shoes, including sandals, are banned, and walkers are advised to dress for the day's conditions. The route highlights the untouched beauty of the Mazarron coast, offering sweeping views of the Murcian countryside. Unlike other local areas, Costa Calida currently has no similar guided hikes scheduled in the near future.
The hike combines outdoor activity with the chance to explore a lesser-known stretch of Murcia's coastline. Registration remains open, but spaces may be limited. Walkers will need to arrive prepared, with all mandatory gear, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
