Rockstar describes Lucia: "As soon as she could walk, her father trained her for combat. Ever since, life has had a way of pursuing her. Because she fought for her family, she landed in the Leonida State Penitentiary." Both seek a simple, peaceful life, and together, they plan to take matters into their own hands - no matter the cost.
The interest in the trailer has been astronomical. In just four hours, over 21 million people viewed the video. The first trailer garnered 93 million views within 24 hours, setting a new record for non-music videos on YouTube. Even the Guinness World Records account has already acknowledged the viewership.
However, PC gamers may be left disappointed. So far, the game has only been announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with only the logos of these consoles appearing in the trailer. The PC release could be pushed back to 2027.
Rockstar had initially planned to release GTA 6 this year, but just a few days ago, they delayed the release to May 26, 2026. The extra time is needed, they claim, to reach the "level of quality" fans have come to expect from the series.
