Grüne Woche 2025 Unveils Brandenburg’s Rural Pride and Culinary Innovations
This year’s Grüne Woche trade fair has kicked off with an expanded lineup in Brandenburg Hall 21A. The event showcases agricultural research, regional foods, and live cooking from top local chefs. Organisers anticipate around 325,000 visitors over the ten-day fair, with 1,600 exhibitors from 50 countries taking part.
Brandenburg Day at the fair will feature a special tour led by Minister-President Dietmar Woidke, Agriculture Minister Hanka Mittelstädt, and Christian Braune, the region’s first male Erntekönig (harvest king). Together, they will guide visitors through Hall 21A, highlighting Brandenburg’s agricultural innovations and specialities.
In the Brandenburg cooking studio, renowned chefs will prepare traditional dishes like wild boar schnitzel and spiced land-chicken stew. Meanwhile, Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner stressed the fair’s role in promoting healthy eating across cities and rural areas. Federal Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer called Grüne Woche a recipe for success, emphasising its ability to bridge urban and rural communities. Tickets start at €17 online, with a €1 surcharge at the door, and a season pass costs €48. Visitors are reminded that cash payments are not accepted, and public transport is encouraged. The fair runs for ten days, with organisers expecting strong attendance. Over 1,600 exhibitors will present everything from cutting-edge farming techniques to regional delicacies.
Grüne Woche continues to grow, drawing crowds with its mix of food, agriculture, and cultural exchange. The event’s focus on sustainability, innovation, and regional pride ensures its place as a key gathering for both rural and urban audiences.
