Growing Voter Registration for Dormagen's Local Elections
The local and integration council elections in Dormagen are scheduled for Sunday, September 14th. Polling stations will be open from 8 am to 6 pm on election day. Voters can find their assigned polling station on their voter notification or by using the polling station finder on the city's website, which is available at www.our Website/rathaus-online/politik-wahlen.
For those who are unable to vote in person, a labeled mailbox is available at the New Town Hall, to the right of the entrance, for submitting absentee ballots. Absentee voters must submit their red ballots to the election office by 4 pm on election day. A total of 13,885 out of 50,512 eligible voters have requested absentee ballots for the local election, representing a 27.48% share. For the integration council election, 851 out of 14,883 eligible voters have requested absentee ballots, which is 5.71%.
After the polling stations close at 6 pm on election day, a vote presentation will take place at the Kulle. The first results of the local and integration council elections in Dormagen will be announced during this presentation. However, the official announcement of the results will take place in the council chamber, not at the Kulle. The official announcement of the election results will be made by the election committee on Wednesday, September 17th, at 5:30 pm in the council chamber.
The SPD remained the strongest force in the Dormagen city council after the local elections on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, with Erik Lierenfeld (SPD) leading in the mayoral election with 48.6% of the votes. For the integration council, not all seats were filled, but no party gained a clear majority beyond the SPD's local strength.
