Griffin Forecasts Celtics' Comeback Victory Over Knicks: Anticipates Series to Extend to Game 7

Rewritten Article:

Geez, Blake Griffin's still pumping his biz for the Boston Celtics!

After sauntering through his last hoops in Boston, this dude knows his Celtics' squad like the back of his hand. He's chum with young bucks like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and the aged Al Horford. Although the Celtics are in a pickle, down 2-0 in their scrap against the New York Knicks, Griffin's not about counts ‘em out just yet. The OG predicts a Celtics win in seven games, yup, you heard me right, seven!

"I reckon it's seven games, mate. I got faith in the Celtics, and I'm all in. I reckon they tie it up," says Griffin in a one-on-one sesh.

The Celtics are already steaming, having lost a combined four points from their opening two bouts against the Knicks. In Game 1, they relied too much on their trey-ball game, going a measly 15-for-60 from beyond the arch (a dismal 25.0%). Game 2 saw them freezing up, going cold, managing just one field goal attempt in the last eight minutes.

"Sometimes when you've got that lead, it's like you start playing not to lose, ya feel me?" says Griffin. "You get out of your game, out of your offensive rhythm. That's exactly what it looked like. In Game 1, it was like they over-rely on the ISO, going light on the drive, kick combo. It just seemed like they deviated from their regular game plan."

Blake emphasizes how the fourth quarter has been the bane of the Celtics. "It's just looking like the fourth quarter's done the dirty on them. But, it seems like they've just strayed from how they typically ball. They stuck with that first three quarters a lot of trey-ball. I believe they needa figure something out. If the Knicks can win in their den, so can the Celtics."

Although Griffin is pointin' out the Celtics' shortcomings, he's quick to give the props to the Knicks for pushing them to struggle.

"Gotta tip your cap to the Knicks, 'cause they've been disruptin' the Celtics," says Griffin. "I thought the Knicks aced their game by just gettin' out and runnin'. They'd score, they'd foul, they'd make the Celtics get antsy. I think it's all a combo of things."

If the Celtics want to take on the Knicks, they gotta put in four full quarters, aptly 48 minutes, not just three or 45 mins.

"The Knicks are just so well-drilled, they're just in it for the dismal haul," says Griffin. "You can't play three good quarters, three-and-a-half good quarters. Can't really play 45 good minutes against ‘em. You gotta play all 48 because they're always findin' a way. I think they're just sorta adapted to that style, that ballin' culture of the Celtics."

While Blake's backing the reigning champs, he winks at it bein' an "epic" scrap regardless of how it pans out.

"As a basketball fan, this has potential to go down as an awesome series," says Griffin.
