Grieving Pöcking-Possenhofen Sport Club as they bid farewell to their esteemed honorary member, Dieter Moeller, who has passed away.

Dieter Moeller, a long-standing member of the sports club Pöcking-Pössenhofen, dedicated his life to the club for over six decades. He joined the club on July 1, 1957, and his contributions were highly valued and will be remembered.

Moeller's journey with the club began in various departments. In addition to table tennis, he was a member of the ski department since 1973, and since 2001, he was an active member of the gymnastics department. When the tennis department was founded in 1974, Moeller immediately joined and held the positions of sports warden and team leader.

Moeller's departmental duties included maintaining sporting and social cohesion, which he achieved with his immense dedication and the help of his wife Inge. He was always ready to help at major club events such as sports festivals and vacation programs. His impact on the SCPP extends beyond his roles in various departments, affecting the overall cohesion and spirit of the club.

In 1986, Moeller was elected department head and held this position until 2009. His leadership was marked by his enthusiasm, commitment, and dedication to volunteering. The SCPP's recognition of Moeller as an honorary member in 2010 underscores the significance of his voluntary commitment to the club.

Moeller discovered his passion for table tennis in 1959 and served as team leader for several years. His contributions to the SCPP went beyond his individual roles, as he was always ready to help at major club events. His exceptional function as a sportsman, an exceptional functionary, and a helpful friend will be missed.

On July 14, 2025, Moeller passed away at the age of 84. Christoph von Gronau of the SCPP expressed condolences to Moeller's wife Inge and his family. Moeller's impact on the SCPP will continue to be felt, as his legacy of service and dedication will inspire future members.

Moeller's life and contributions to the SCPP serve as a testament to the power of volunteerism and the lasting impact one person can have on a community. His memory will live on in the spirit of the club, inspiring future generations to follow in his footsteps and contribute to the betterment of the SCPP.

Despite his involvement in various departments like gymnastics and skiing, Dieter Moeller's deepest love was for football, a passion that grew over the years with the SCPP.
