Crisis-Hit Fürth Aims for Second Consecutive Home Win - Greuther Fürth faces must-win home showdown against Bochum in relegation battle

Greuther Fürth prepares for a crucial home clash against VfL Bochum this Saturday. The 2. Bundesliga match holds major significance in their battle to avoid relegation. Both sides currently sit level on points, but Bochum arrives with stronger momentum.

The game kicks off at 1:00 PM CET and will air live on Sky. A victory would mark Greuther Fürth’s first back-to-back home wins of the season.

Head coach Thomas Kleine confirmed the starting eleven will remain unchanged from the last matchday. However, he remained cautious about the involvement of two new young signings. David Abrangao, praised for his recent form, could feature as an option. In contrast, 19-year-old Raul Marita may miss out due to balancing school and football commitments.

Fürth’s defensive struggles continue, having conceded 34 goals—more than any other team in the league. Their attack has also been weak, scoring just 20 times. Bochum, meanwhile, enters the match in better shape, losing only once in their last five outings.

The result could heavily influence Fürth’s relegation fight. A win would provide much-needed points and confidence. Bochum’s recent consistency, however, makes them a tough opponent for a side struggling at both ends of the pitch.
