As per an Israeli media report, remaining members of the intercepted Gaza solidarity ship crew are temporarily retained in detention. Among them, eight refuseniks, including French EU parliamentarian Rima Hassan, stubbornly refuse to sign required exit papers, according to ynet news portal.
Three other activists, including Thunberg, have acquiesced to Israel's demands and are headed back to their home nations. The eight recalcitrant individuals will be confined in a detention center adjacent to the international Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv until they signtheir expulsion papers or max out at 96 hours post-arrest.

Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel saw the move as a means to safeguard the nation's sovereignty from alleged provocative actions by protesters. The Israeli army had thwarted the Gaza-bound vessel "Madleen" earlier this week, nearly 200 kilometers off Gaza's coast in international waters, as part of the naval blockade imposed on the coastal territory since 2007[1].
