Among the newcomers are Johanna Barber, a lawyer committed to the green mobility revolution, and education researcher Dr. Kristin Hecker, who sees education as the foundation for a just and sustainable society.
Geographer Sebastian Fischer, who wants to shift the focus back to thematic discussion, and diploma social pedagogue Florian Friedrich, with years of experience in children, youth, and social work, are also part of the Fürth Greens' city council list.
Mechanical engineering technician Finn Lenski, representing the Green Youth, aims to offer Furth's youth similar opportunities as in neighboring cities, while Johannes Newald, the current Kreisvorstand spokesman, will focus on digitalization, financial policy, children and youth, public transportation, and climate protection and climate adaptation measures.
The election for the city council list used a complex grassroots democratic process, with the remaining 36 positions and the alternates for the Fürth Greens' city council list being elected in a block voting procedure. Kamran Salimi, who was elected as the candidate for the mayoral election, came in second on the city council list with 100% of the votes cast.
Salimi, who received no negative votes in the mayoral candidate election, believes the upcoming municipal elections will determine the development of Fürth in the coming years. He stated, "Change begins where people take responsibility."
