Green Party co-leader confesses to using an fossil fuel-based boiler rather than a renewable heat pump at her residence

Notably, Matt Western, the Labour Candidate for Warwick & Leamington, has had an air source heat pump for 13 years, installed before he was in politics. He recently tweeted that he is greener than the Greens due to his long-standing use of an air source heat pump.

Ms Denyer, however, has maintained her commitment to renewable energy. Two years ago, she stated that renewable energy measures such as heat pumps are needed "Right now". Despite the controversy, Ms Denyer remains a prominent figure in the Green Party and a strong advocate for climate action. The installation of an air source heat pump in her home after the election will be closely watched as a testament to her commitment to the party's pro-heat pump policies.
