Green Man Festival Introduces Secure Ticket Resale Policy for 2023 Event

The Green Man Festival, a popular event known for its eclectic mix of music, art, comedy, science, and literature, has announced a new ticket resale policy for this year's event. The policy, which allows festival-goers to resell their tickets securely through Twickets, a fan-to-fan resale platform, aims to provide a safer and fairer resale option for attendees.

Traditionally, many festivals only allowed resale through official platforms or prohibited resale entirely, often leading to concerns about counterfeit tickets and inflated secondary market prices. By partnering with Twickets, Green Man Festival ensures that tickets can be resold securely and transparently at face value or less. This means that buyers can trust that resale tickets are genuine and valid for entry, while sellers receive refunds efficiently once tickets are sold.

The new policy also reduces the risk of ticket fraud and exploitative pricing for attendees. Fans can sign up for email alerts and use the Twickets app for ticket updates, making it easier to attend the Green Man Festival throughout the entire event.

The Green Man Festival has a capacity of 25,000 attendees and takes place from August 14-17 in the Brecon Beacons. Tickets for the 2023 event are expected to sell out quickly, as they did for the 2025 festival, which sold out in record time – 11 months ahead of the festival.

The high demand for tours from acts like Sam Fender, Slipknot, and Stereophonics has been reported by Twickets earlier this year. However, the line-up for the 2025 Green Man Festival had not been announced before tickets sold out, within an hour.

The extension of the resale of Green Man Festival tickets until 8am on Sunday aims to help more fans purchase last-minute tickets. This change allows greater flexibility for genuine fans, as resale through Twickets traditionally closed when gates opened. The decision to extend the resale period was made by Richard Davies, founder of Twickets, who wanted to ensure that tickets go to genuine fans, not touts.

Twickets is not only the official resale partner for the Green Man Festival but also for the Oasis reunion tour. This partnership underscores Twickets' commitment to ethical ticket trading and providing a secure, transparent, and fair resale platform for fans.

  1. Among the various forms of entertainment offered at the Green Man Festival, music is a crucial component, with acts like Sam Fender, Slipknot, and Stereophonics creating high demand for tickets.
  2. To supplement the entertainment, sports enthusiasts can engage in sports-betting activities, as Twickets, the official resale partner for the Green Man Festival, is also partnered with the Oasis reunion tour, suggesting versatility in their offerings.
