Greece’s electric oven market booms in 2024 despite trade setbacks

Greece’s electric oven and cooker market grew in 2024, reaching a value of $X. This marked an increase of X% compared to the previous year. However, exports and imports both saw a decline during the same period.

The country’s production of electric ovens and cookers expanded sharply to $X in 2024. Over the last twelve years, the sector has maintained an average annual growth rate of X%. Domestic consumption also peaked in 2024, with expectations of steady growth in the near future.

Imports of electric ovens, cookers, and related appliances fell by X% to X units in 2024. The average import price rose to $X per unit, up X% from 2023. China, Turkey, and Germany remained the top suppliers, together accounting for X% of total imports. In value terms, imports slightly decreased to $X, though the overall trend over recent years has been positive.

Exports followed a similar downward trend, dropping by X% to X units in 2024. This decline came after three years of growth. The value of exports also shrank to $X, reflecting a noticeable contraction. Spain, Poland, and Germany were the main export destinations, receiving a combined X% of Greece’s total shipments.

The Greek electric oven and cooker market continues to expand domestically, despite the drop in trade activity. Production remains strong, and consumption is forecast to grow steadily. Meanwhile, import prices have risen, while export volumes have fallen for the first time in years.
