Graz 99ers crush Székesfehérvár 5–1 for 2–0 series lead in ICE Hockey League

Graz 99ers dominated Székesfehérvár with a 5–1 victory in their quarterfinal clash. The win gave them a commanding 2–0 lead in the best-of-seven ICE Hockey League series. Their fast start set the tone for a match they controlled from the opening seconds. Manuel Ganahl struck just 11 seconds into the game, giving Graz 99ers an instant lead. The early goal marked their first win in Hungary in over three years—1,272 days to be exact.

The Austrian side never let up, building a 4–0 advantage by the third period. Lukas Haudum and Kevin Conley both capitalised on power plays, extending the lead with quick succession goals. Conley added another during four-on-four play, showcasing his precision. Székesfehérvár managed a consolation through Trevor Cheek's shorthanded effort, making it 4–1. But Nick Swaney sealed the 5–1 result with an empty-net finish in the closing minutes. Game three shifts to Graz, where the 99ers will host Székesfehérvár on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, Pustertal also took a 2–0 series lead after shutting out Olimpija Ljubljana 3–0 in the other semifinal.

Graz 99ers now hold a clear advantage in the quarterfinal series. Their next home game offers a chance to extend the lead further. Székesfehérvár must regroup quickly to avoid elimination.
