Helene Fischer (41) and Otto Waalkes (77) have teamed up to release a remake of the global children's phenomenon "Baby Shark". The collaboration is a part of Helene Fischer's new children's album, The Most Beautiful Children's Songs (Dance & Celebrate), due for release on September 12.

In this playful duet, Helene takes on the role of "Mommy Shark", while Otto dons multiple shark family roles, including "Daddy Shark" and "Grandpa Shark". The video, approximately one and a half minutes long, is set in an animated underwater world and features a humorous and charming visual of Otto as a baby pushing a stroller in a comic setting.

The remake brings together two beloved German stars, appealing to a broad audience—from children to adults—with its catchy melodies and humour. The video, already released and available for public viewing, is notable for its vibrant and engaging portrayal, making it likely to become popular in Germany, though it may not surpass the original Pinkfong 2016 YouTube video's record of over 16 billion views worldwide.

The record label anticipates that the version of "Baby Shark" in the new album will inspire both children and adults to sing and celebrate along. The video, released on various platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, showcases the artists' entertaining take on the song, blending music and humour. The TikTok videos feature the "Baby Shark Doo-Doo Dance" emphasizing family fun for kids and have gained significant attention and interaction online.

In the video, Helene Fischer is depicted pushing a cartoon stroller, while Otto Waalkes appears as both Grandpa and Grandma, wearing a gray full beard, cane, and sleeveless vest as Grandpa, and a hat, purse, glasses, necklace, dress, and coat as Grandma. Otto Waalkes is also depicted as a baby in the video, clapping his hands occasionally.

"Baby Shark" is an absolute highlight from Helene Fischer's upcoming album, which is based in Hamburg. The new album, filled with danceable and celebratory children's songs, is sure to bring joy to families across Germany and beyond.

The entertainment industry sees a fusion of genres with Helene Fischer's rendition of "Baby Shark," a children's phenomenon, blending seamlessly with the musical stylings of Otto Waalkes, creating a unique and fun collaboration. Amidst the release of Helene's new children's album, both artists bring their distinctive talents to the table, offering a fresh take on the popular song for the enjoyment of all ages.
