Equipment:

  • A non-stick baking pan with dimensions 22 x 33 cm (9 x 13 inches)
  • Anti-stick spray

Ingredients:

  1. Lightly grease the pan with some anti-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt 1 stick (12 tablespoons) of butter and save 2 tablespoons for later.
  3. Whisk together 1 cup (336 grams) of honey, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 5 large eggs.
  4. Combine 3.5 cups (336 grams) of almond flour, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.
  5. Blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Add 1 cup of chocolate chips and stir them in.
  7. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved 2 tablespoons of melted butter on top.
  9. Bake at 190 °C (375 °F) for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing and serving (skip this step if you can't wait).
