Grace, a 25-year-old with infectious energy, leaped onto her father, and down they went! The electric moment was caught on camera and swiftly spread across social media.

"For all of our Clemson students, graduation is a new beginning, and seeing Grace embrace her dad - our University President - embodied the moment of exhilaration felt by each of our 5,270 new Clemson alums as they begin the next chapter of their lives," the University shared in a statement with The Washington Post.
Jim Clements, known affectionately as "Amazing Grace's" dad, was too busy cheering on the graduating class to give an interview. Instead, he shared a simple statement, "She walked the stage, and I hit the turf. I wouldn't change a thing. It was pure joy."
