Russian Regional Leaders' Growth Tracked by PolitBroker
In a recent report by the analytical agency PolitBroker, the growth patterns of Russia's regional leaders for July 2025 have been revealed. The report shows a mix of growth, decline, and stability among the country's governors.
Alexei Tsydenov, the head of Buryatia, experienced moderate growth in May and April, only to find himself in the "Stable" group for the results of July. For the whole of 2024, Tsydenov was in the second most important group of regional leaders, "Moderate Growth." Notably, Tsydenov announced the launch of a charter flight from Ulan-Ude to Hainan at the end of September.
In the "Dynamic Growth" group for July, Vyacheslav Gladkov (Belgorod Region), Gleb Nikitin (Nizhny Novgorod Region), and Alexander Tsybulsky (Arkhangelsk Region) stood out. On the other hand, Eugene Balitsky (Zaporozhye Region) and Arthur Parfenchikov (Karelia) were in the "Dynamic Decline" group in March.
Alexander Osipov, the governor of the Zabaykalsky Krai, showed a "Moderate Decline" in March but returned to the "Stable" group in April and remained there until July. In June, Osipov returned to his usual "Stable" group.
Igor Kobzev, the governor of the Irkutsk region, showed moderate growth from January to July and was in this group for the whole of 2024. No outlier governors were in the "Dynamic Decline" group in January-February or April, June.
Valentin Konovalov, the head of Khakassia, was in the "Dynamic Decline" group in July. An emergency situation due to forest fires was lifted in Buryatia in July.
PolitBroker compiles monthly and annual ratings of Russia's regional leaders and tracks their daily growth or decline on the "Governors' Exchange." The agency's July report was released on August 1. Alexei Tsydenov increased the number of subscribers to his Telegram channel by the beginning of July.
In addition, Alexei Tsydenov visited four districts of the republic: Kabansky, Barguzinsky, Kurumkansky, and Zakamensky, during the reported period.
