Governor Visits Kuban Ice Cream Plant, Proposes Milk Subsidy Boost
Governor Veniamin Kondratyev recently visited an ice cream production facility in Korenevsk, Kuban. He evaluated the quality control process and discussed increasing milk subsidies. The plant, a significant contributor to the regional economy, produces ice cream enjoyed both domestically and internationally.
During his visit, Governor Kondratyev observed the ice cream production process. The milk, sourced from the farm's own cows, undergoes 24 quality checks before being mixed and frozen in waffle cups. The process is visible through a window, with the plant producing an impressive 36,000 portions per hour.
The governor held a meeting to consider boosting the milk subsidy to 6 rubles per kg. This would require an additional 49 million rubles, reflecting the importance of the dairy industry to the regional economy. Last year alone, Kuban produced a record 1.7 million tons of raw milk, with the dairy farm in question producing over 27 tons daily.
The farm's success is attributed to subsidies from the regional budget, which have improved animal life and landscaping over the past 15 years. Each calf is given a digital passport tracking its lineage, productivity, and health status. The governor suggested opening the enterprise to tourists, allowing them to observe the ice cream production process firsthand.
Governor Kondratyev's visit to the ice cream production facility highlights the significance of the dairy industry to Kuban's economy. The proposed increase in milk subsidies aims to further support this industry, with the potential to attract tourists to the enterprise. The farm's commitment to quality and innovation, as seen in its digital passports for calves, contributes to the popularity of its ice cream both in Russia and abroad.
