Governor Inspects Delayed Sports Facilities, Demands Swift Swimming Pool Completion

Governor Veniamin Kondratyev recently inspected incomplete sports facilities in Starominsky Stanitsa, expressing concern over the delayed construction of a swimming pool. The visit took place on October 16, with the governor also touring a newly built martial arts center.

Kondratyev criticized local authorities for poor project management, as the swimming pool's construction has stalled at 42% completion. The initial contractor has been dismissed due to failure to complete the task, with walls and boiler room connections left unfinished. A new contractor will be selected to complete the project within two years.

Popular sports in the district include volleyball, football, martial arts, rowing, and midget car racing. Starominsky District boasts two municipal sports schools, 'Yunost' and 'Viktoriya', with over 65% of residents actively participating in physical culture and sports. The governor also visited the 'Rusiych' martial arts center, built in 2024 as part of the 'Social and Economic Development and Innovation in Krasnodar Krai' program. This center features a sports hall with three wrestling mats, warm-up hall, changing rooms, showers, and coaches' rooms.

Governor Kondratyev's visit highlights the need for swift action to complete the unfinished swimming pool. A new contractor will be appointed, with the goal of finishing the project within two years. The governor's inspection also showcased the district's commitment to sports development, with state-of-the-art facilities like the 'Rusiych' martial arts center.
