Preparing for "Immortal Regiment" in Omsk on May 9, 2025!
Gear up, folks! On May 9, 2025, the "Immortal Regiment" march will take place in Omsk, giving us an opportunity to honor our heroic ancestors who fought and triumphed over fascism during World War II.
Vitaliy Khocenko, the governor of the Omsk region, took to his Telegram channel last Saturday, reminding us that the "Immortal Regiment" this year will be held in two formats.
"Our family will definitely join the column moving through the streets of Omsk with portraits of our heroic victors, the heroes who overcame fascism, those who ensured we live and raise our children today," Khocenko explained.
The "Immortal Regiment" in Omsk will take place for the first time in three years. On Victory Day, May 9, 2025, the march will begin after the official military formation, which starts at 10 am, and proceed from the Pushkin Library towards the City Square, down Lenin Street, and along the Irtysh Embankment to the Boulevard of Victory.
A nationwide online version of "Immortal Regiment Russia" has been ongoing since April 23. To participate, you need to upload the photographs of World War II veterans or workers of the rear by May 6 on the following platforms:
- The official "Immortal Regiment Russia" website;
- Mini-applications available on social media platforms "VKontakte" or "Ok.ru".
Khofenko also said that you have the choice to participate in either format, or even both if you wish.
