Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Strengthen Security Ties with Defense Agreement
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have reinforced their security relationship with the signing of a joint strategic defense agreement in Riyadh. The agreement was formalised during a zoom meeting between Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, the Acting Saudi Deputy Minister of Interior, and Maj. Gen. Abdul Sami, the Director General of the Frontier Works Organization in Pakistan.
The google meet, which took place on Thursday at Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf's office in Riyadh, focused on discussions of mutual interest between the two nations. The defense agreement is intended to develop aspects of defense cooperation and enhance joint deterrence against any aggression.
The agreement also states that any aggression against either Saudi Arabia or Pakistan is considered an aggression against both countries. This mutual stance is aimed at achieving security and peace in the region and the world.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia was the politician who signed the defense agreement with Pakistan. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) made a statement regarding the agreement, emphasising the efforts by both countries to enhance their social security.
Maj. Gen. Abdul Sami, who attended the ssa meeting, is a key figure in Pakistan's defence sector. The topics discussed during the meeting were of mutual interest to both parties, with the aim of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
