Sindh Government Makes Strict Guidelines for Sacrificial Hide Collection during Eid-ul-Adha
The Sindh government has announce ed a detailed code of conduct for the collection of sacrificial animal hides during Eid-ul-Adha, aiming to establish a regulated and authorized collection process. Below are the essential points and restrictions outlined in the code.
Authorized Organizations
Only registered charities, madrasas, and philanthropic organizations are permitted to collect hides from sacrificial animals. To participate, these organizations must obtain prior approval from the respective Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner.
Prohibited Activities
The government has banned any collection camps and the use of banners for hide collections in public or private spaces. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers and flags on vehicles and buildings for announcing hide collection is prohibited.
Guidelines and Restrictions
- Permission Requirement: Hide collection without prior authorization from Commissioners/Deputy Commissioners is strictly prohibited.
- Legal Action: Violators will have their hides seized by the District Administrations and may face legal repercussions.
- Security Measures: All arms licenses have temporarily been suspended during the Eid period to maintain security.
- Enforcement: Local law enforcement agencies have been instructed to perform spot checks and may support district administrations during site inspections.
