Government intends to seize Hebbal land for construction of Bengaluru tunnel road, announces DK Shivakumar.

🎉 Yo Ugly! Breaking News about the Bengaluru Tunnel Road situation! 🚗🚧

Got some hot deets straight from the Bengaluru Development Minister, DK Shivakumar himself! He's determined to sort out the city's traffic woes by kickstarting the much-anticipated tunnel road project.

In the latest uproar at Vidhana Soudha, our dear minister revealed plans to nab some key parcels of land in the Hebbal area. After nailing down this critical junction, the proposed tunnel road is set to groove its way through the city.

Shivakumar's vision? A combo of Metro expansion and the tunnel road, baby! This bad boy's gonna be an integral part of the city's traffic dance, no doubt about it. And they plan to finesse the land acquisition process with the help of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) and Floor Area Ratio (FAR) benefits. Sounds like they're cooking up something slick!

Did someone say money? The government has got their eyes set on a hefty ₹19,000 crore loan to make this tunnel road fantasy come true. And guess who's putting up the collateral? The lovely state of Karnataka, that's who!

But wait, there's opposition brewing! It turns out Bengaluru South MP PC Mohan wants the 45 acres in Hebbal reserved for Metro projects instead of the tunnel road. Ain't that a pickle? PC argues that the land is essential for the city's future mass transit system, what with three Metro lines and a suburban rail station in the works.

"Hand over, hand over, give it to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation," chants PC, "It'll make our city's transport future poppin'!"

Guess we'll just have to wait and see who comes out on top in this traffic tussle. (🔥 Check out our latest piece on Kannada fliers welcoming travelers in Paris, you won't wanna miss it!)
