Goslar digital: New city app now available
A new digital tool for Goslar residents has launched, bringing together a wide range of municipal services in one place. The Goslar App is now available for free download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, offering real-time updates and easy access to local information.
The app combines multiple digital services into a single platform, designed to simplify daily life for users. A customisable dashboard lets residents personalise their home screen, ensuring quick access to the features they use most.
Among the key functions is an AI-powered assistant that provides 24/7 answers to questions about local political decisions. The app also tracks real-time fuel prices across the Goslar district and displays current reservoir water levels. For emergencies, push notifications will alert users to critical situations and civil protection warnings. Residents can engage directly with the council by submitting ideas, suggestions, or reports through the app’s feedback system. A photo-reporting tool makes it easy to document and share images of damage around the city. Alternatively, people can visit the MachMit!Haus in person to provide input. The app aggregates updates from essential services, including the police and fire department. It also includes a detailed business directory under the ‘Who? How? What?’ section and a ‘Shout’ function for sharing local updates. Development was funded through the federal programme *Zukunftsfähige Innenstädte und Zentren* (ZIZ), ensuring no cost to users.
The Goslar App aims to centralise key services, making it easier for residents to stay informed and involved. With features ranging from emergency alerts to council engagement, the platform provides a modern solution for local needs. The app is now fully operational and ready for use across the district.
