Gorbitz's Cross-Country Race Coincides with Children's Festival
In the heart of Gorbitz, the community is gearing up for the 10th edition of the Westhanglauf. This annual event, organised by the Neighbourhood Management, the Gorbitz Volunteer Fire Department, the Railway Housing Cooperative, and DSC, among others, is set to take place on September 24.
The Westhanglauf is a free-to-participate community event that encourages movement and unity. The main run, spanning 6 kilometres, is open to both big and small recreational athletes. For the little ones, there's a Bambinilauf over 500 metres.
The event will unfold in the picturesque Stadtblickpark, where a colourful family festival will accompany the race. Registrations for the event are now open, and everyone is invited to join.
The focus of the Westhanglauf is on community movement, bringing together Gorbitz residents in a fun and active way. The organisers hope that this year's event will be just as successful as the previous ones, and they look forward to welcoming participants of all ages.
So, mark your calendars for September 24, and get ready to join the 10th Westhanglauf in Gorbitz. It's a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Stadtblickpark, meet your neighbours, and take part in a fun and active community event. See you there!
