Google moves Keep reminders to Tasks—here’s what changes for users
Google has initiated the transfer of reminders from Google Keep to Google Tasks. The process commenced around 28 November 2025 and is being gradually rolled out. Not all users have access yet, but this follows an earlier announcement targeting the latter half of the year.
Once the migration is complete for a user's account, they will encounter a prompt stating ‘Reminders are now Google Tasks’. Reminders originally set in Keep will then appear in the Tasks app and Google Calendar, identified by a ‘From Keep’ label. Notifications for these reminders will also shift from Keep to either Calendar or Tasks.
The rollout is still ongoing, with no specific timeline for full availability. Users will need to monitor their accounts for the migration prompt. Upon completion, all reminder management will shift to Tasks and Calendar.
