Scottie Scheffler's Dominance on the PGA Tour

A refreshed look at the unstoppable force that is Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler, the world's top golfer, had a rough start to the 2025 PGA Tour season. An accident while preparing homemade raviolis on Christmas Day left him less than his usual dominant self. But don't be fooled - even with a slight dip in form, Scheffler's game was still better than most others.

Despite a winless streak in April, Scheffler proved himself to be a force to be reckoned with. By May 2024, he had already bagged four victories. Then, like a slumbering dragon, Scheffler woke up one month ago.

At The Memorial, hosted by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus, Scheffler entered the final round with a one-shot lead over Ben Griffin. With the PGA Tour faithful knowing that Scheffler rarely gives up a 54-hole lead, it was just a matter of time before he clinched another tournament victory.

As predicted, Scheffler didn't let the lead slip away and cruised to yet another victory. He became the first player since Tiger Woods to win Jack Nicklaus' tournament in consecutive years. The pair remain the only two players to ever achieve this impressive feat.

The triumph at The Memorial was the third of the past four PGA Tour events for Scheffler, including the PGA Championship two weeks ago. He also secured the CJ CUP Byron Nelson the week before the PGA Championship and finished tied for fourth at the Charles Schwab Challenge the following week.

Incredibly, Scheffler has placed top eight in each of his last six events, including a solo fourth place at the 2025 Masters. While Rory McIlroy made headlines when he completed the career Grand Slam at the Masters, a feat by Scheffler this year is certainly not out of the question.

Scheffler's Pursuit of the Career Grand Slam

As a two-time Masters champion, Scheffler now needs a U.S. Open win and an Open Championship to complete the career Grand Slam. Given that both tournaments are still scheduled for this year, Scheffler has a chance to equal McIlroy's achievement and become only the second player to complete the feat in 2025.

The U.S. Open will take place in just over two weeks at Oakmont Country Club, near Pittsburgh, PA. Initially, Scheffler and McIlroy were tied for the lowest odds to win the U.S. Open. However, Scheffler's recent domination on the tour has shifted the odds in his favor, with Scheffler now being heavily favored at +280 (as reported by DraftKings). McIlroy is the second favorite, with odds of +650, followed by Bryson DeChambeau at +900.

Intriguingly, Scheffler is also favored in the Open Championship, with odds of +450 compared to McIlroy's +500. The odds mean that Scheffler has an approximate five-percent chance of winning both remaining majors this year, making him a strong contender for multiple triumphs in 2025.

With such impressive form, it's difficult not to bet on Scheffler. After all, he's shown time and again that he's a force to be reckoned with on the PGA Tour. So, fasten your seatbelts, golf fans – it's going to be an exhilarating ride watching Scheffler continue his quest for the career Grand Slam.

As Scottie Scheffler eyes the career Grand Slam, bettors find it hard not to put their money on him. His odds for winning the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club are currently +280, making him the heavily favored candidate according to DraftKings. Similarly, Scheffler is also favored in the Open Championship with odds of +450. With such high chances of winning both remaining majors this year, Scheffler presents a strong contender for multiple triumphs in 2025, making sports betting on golf tournaments exciting and full of anticipation.
