Golf player Wyndham Clark reportedly damages lockers at Oakmont following his failure to advance beyond U.S. Open's cut.
Chillin' at the Country Club, Literally Going Off the Rails! 🤬
There's no doubt about it – Oakmont Country Club, more than any other major golf championship venue, has a knack for making even the coolest professional golfers lose their cool. And it's proved true yet again during this year's U.S. Open.
It's a freakin' tough test that's bound to leave barely a scratch on any player's ego, but some take a beating like a punch-drunk boxer.
Take Wyndham Clark, for instance, the US Open champ in 2023, who missed the cut on Friday by a mere stroke, posting an 8-over through his first two rounds. Missing the cut was just the tip of the iceberg for Mr. Clark this week – apparently, he couldn't contain his fury and took his anger out on some Oakmont lockers.
No Laying Up's Tron Carter dropped a bombshell, alleging that Clark destroyed not one, but two lockers at Oakmont after missing the cut on Friday. Carter referred to Clark as Blow Pig, a play on Wyndham (Wind Ham), and shared a photo that appears to show Clark's Titleist golf bag, lending credence to the claim.
Clark's not exactly had the Midas touch on the PGA Tour this year, with only one Top 10 finish – a respectable 3rd place at the Houston Open in March.
The 31-year-old's had quite a bit of media attention this year, with an epic meltdown during the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in May. Clark lost it and smashed a T-Mobile sign surrounding a teebox after a disastrous final round. Funny thing is, Clark's got a T-Mobile sponsorship deal and was spotted wearing the company's logo-emblazoned hat throughout the year.
Not one to shy away from apologies, Clark quickly admitted that his actions were uncalled for and wholly inappropriate. Here's what Clark said in his tear-jerking statement: "My actions were uncalled for and completely inappropriate. I hold myself to a high standard, and yesterday I fell short of those standards."
After starting 2025 ranked 7th in the Official World Golf Ranking, Clark's slide hasn't seemed to stop – he's now sitting at the 27th spot.

Pro-Tip: Pro Golfer Wyndham Clark has a penchant fordestroying property. Keep your property safe when you're in the vicinity of irritable golfers! 🏌️♂️💔🔨
Sports fans at Oakmont Country Club might find themselves betting on Wyndham Clark's next property destruction incident during a round of golf, as the pro golfer seems to have a soft spot for sports-related destruction, as evidenced by his past misconduct at the PGA Championship and the recent locker room incident at the U.S. Open.
