Charley Hull Withdraws from PIF London Championship Due to Ankle Injury

Charley Hull, one of the most popular players in women's golf, has suffered a setback in her career due to a series of health and injury issues. The British golfer, currently ranked World No.10, was hoping to compete in the PIF London Championship at her home course, Centurion Club, but an ankle injury has forced her to withdraw.

Hull sustained the injury after tripping over a curb in the parking lot at Centurion Club, leading to a severe ankle injury with an "pop" and near fainting upon falling. The incident occurred just before the PIF London Championship, leaving Hull disappointed not to be competing in front of a home crowd.

This injury follows a string of unfortunate events for Hull. In July 2025, she withdrew mid-round from the Amundi Evian Championship after collapsing twice due to illness and requiring a stretcher. Before that, she sustained a back injury at the Irish Women's Open from a non-golf accident.

Despite these setbacks, Hull has had a successful career with multiple wins on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour, accumulating seven professional titles and competing in seven Solheim Cups. Her recent competitive form was evident in her runner-up finish at the 2025 Women's British Open.

Hull's maiden victory still eludes her despite a fourth runner-up finish in a Major at Royal Portcawl. In a statement on social media, she described her current injury as "nothing major, but the docs say I've got to rest or I'll make it worse."

Despite her inability to compete, Hull will still be on site at Centurion Club, supporting the event and mingling with fans. The golfing world will undoubtedly be eager to see her return to the course, hoping that this setback is just a temporary hiccup in her impressive career.
