Goldie Joins Forces with Five Others in Ayr Bronze Cup Competition, Yet He Forecasts a Difficult Draw for the Favored Competitor

The Ayr Gold Cup meeting is just around the corner, and excitement is building as some of the best horses in the racing world prepare to battle it out. Among the contenders for the Bronze Cup, Eternal Sunshine, trained by Jim Goldie, is the hot favourite.

Eternal Sunshine, ridden by Lauren Young, has been in exceptional form, winning four consecutive races, including the Portland last weekend. The three-year-old, starting from stall one, is 6lb well in under an 8lb penalty for the Bronze Cup. However, some consider his starting position a disadvantage due to the headwind.

Jim Goldie also has two other runners in the race, Mostar Dreams (stall three) and Kelpie Grey (four). Mostar Dreams is expected to go very close in the race, while Kelpie Grey, known for liking cut in the ground and being in good form, could also make a strong showing.

Outsiders Yaaser (11) and Oriental Prince (21), trained by Jim Goldie, are also in the race for Goldie. Yaaser has run well over six furlongs at Ayr before, while Oriental Prince would prefer faster ground but has a good high draw.

Jonny Concrete, trained by Iain Jardine, has been consistent this year and has good form. Bosh, also trained by Michael Dods, would prefer the ground to dry a bit, but his course form is impressive. Wobwobwob, trained by Adrian Keatley, is trying to win the Bronze Cup after winning the Silver. His last run at Chepstow was good, and his course form is promising.

Moonstone Boy, trained by Iain Jardine, is crying out for six furlongs and the ground will suit him. Kats Bob, trained by Ruth Carr, has been super-consistent, and his form is holding well. Woven, trained by Michael Dods, would benefit from any rain as he loves soft ground.

The going for the three-day Ayr Gold Cup meeting is good to soft, soft in places, with a possibility of some rain on Saturday. This could potentially favour some of the horses, particularly Wobwobwob and Woven.

Territorial Knight (stall nine) is another contender to watch. He claimed sixth in a 6f handicap for three-year-olds at York four starts back. His fourth-place finish at York is working out strongly, with subsequent wins for the eighth, ninth, 13th, 15th, 17th, and 18th.

The search results do not contain relevant information about the two most interesting non-Goldie-oriented runners starting in a single stable under numbers 5 and 9. Therefore, more information is needed to make a definitive prediction about their chances in the race.

Regardless, the Ayr Gold Cup meeting promises to be an exciting event, with Eternal Sunshine as the clear favourite but several other horses capable of making a strong challenge. Keep an eye on these contenders as the race approaches!
