Golden State Warriors Celebrate Win, Stephen Curry's historic 3-point Streak Ends

Stephen Curry finished 0 for 8 from beyond the arc, marking a subpar shooting night for the two-time MVP, who scored only seven points during his 2 for 12 performance.

It had been nearly four and a half years since Curry last missed a three-pointer game, last failing to connect from deep against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 8, 2018 (NBA stats) and preserving his record of converting at least one three-pointer in 268 consecutive games. He also maintains the second-longest active streak (157 games).

Guard Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks currently holds the longest active streak of making at least one three-point shot in 101 consecutive games.

Curry holds the NBA record for the most made three-pointers in NBA history, surpassing Ray Allen's record of 3,358 three-pointers in November 2021. On Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets, Curry became the first NBA player to hit his 3,500th career three-pointer.

Despite his limited downtime, Curry maintains a stellar season in his 15th NBA campaign, averaging 28.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, shooting 46.1% from the field and 41.1% from three-point range.

Curry dished out eight assists against the Trail Blazers, contributing to the Warriors' 118-114 overtime victory at the Moda Center.

With a game-high 28 points from Splash Brother Klay Thompson, who appears to have recovered from his shooting slump at the start of the season, and 25 points from forward Andrew Wiggins in his second game without a sub since joining the Warriors in 2014, the team graced the Moda Center with victory.

Trayce Jackson-Davis had a terrific showing (top left in the dunk) and capped off the game with 14 points and eight rebounds.

The victory was all the more impressive, given the Warriors' lack of their defensive anchor, Draymond Green, who is currently sidelined with a suspension handed down by the Phoenix Suns' Jusuf Nurkic.

"We can't rely on Steph saving us every night," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game. "It was a tough night for him, but that's what a team does. Everyone contributes, and someone different comes up every night. That's a good sign, as he's carried us this season long enough. We need to give him more help."

The Warriors held the Trail Blazers' offensive push in check during the third quarter and emerged victorious by a narrow four-point margin. Jerami Grant scored 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while the Trail Blazers continued their rebuilding process following the offseason trade of Lillard to the Bucks.

Currently sitting at the 11th spot in the crowded Western Conference with a 12-14 record, the Warriors are striving to recover from a slow season start.
