Golden Knights sign Russian goalie Pavel Moysevich to three-year entry deal

The Vegas Golden Knights have secured young Russian goaltender Pavel Moysevich with a three-year, entry-level deal. The 21-year-old was selected 83rd overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft after a standout season in the KHL. His signing follows a rapid rise through Russian hockey leagues, with no prior experience in European competitions outside Russia.

Moysevich first gained attention during the 2023-24 KHL season. At just 19, he posted a .942 save percentage—the highest ever for a teenager in a single KHL campaign. His 13-game debut included a 3-2-2 record, a 1.25 goals-against average (GAA), and no prior professional experience outside Russia's top league.

This season, he split time between the KHL and VHL. In 10 appearances for SKA-VMF St. Petersburg (VHL), he recorded a 5-3-0 record, a 2.41 GAA, and a .917 save percentage, along with one shutout. Over three KHL seasons, his combined stats stand at a 2.45 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 31 games. Before his professional breakthrough, Moysevich helped SKA1946 St. Petersburg win the 2024 MHL championship. His playoff performance included 10 games, an 8-2-0 record, a 1.93 GAA, and a .946 save percentage.

The Golden Knights now add a highly rated young netminder to their system. Moysevich's contract runs for three years, giving the team time to develop his talent. His KHL and MHL success suggests potential for future contributions at the NHL level.
