Gold-Clad Glory: Ayodhya's Ram Temple Shines Brighter

Gold weighing 45 kilograms, valued at approximately fifty crore rupees, utilized in the construction of Ayodhya Ram Temple - Key insights shared herein.

Get the latest scoop from the India News Desk, your go-to source for all things India! A whopping 45 kilograms of pure gold has graced the construction of the cherished Ram Temple in Ayodhya, revealing a sheen unseen before. This revelation was shared by Nripendra Mishra, the Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee.

The gold used in embellishing the doors and Lord Ram's majestic throne is valued at approximately ₹50 crore, sans taxes. But that's not all! Gold work is yet to be completed, particularly in the Sheshavatar Temple, part of the larger complex.

Although the temple's main sanctum and structure have found their solid foundation, more facilities like museums, an auditorium, and guest accommodations are still under construction and are expected to be wrapped up by the year's end.

Take a Glimpse: The Consecrated Ram Darbar

Since the consecration of the Ram Darbar on the temple's first floor, access to this newly-blessed space is restricted due to ongoing construction and crowd management measures. Champat Rai, the astute Secretary of the Ram Temple Trust, shed light, stating, "A lift is underway for the elderly devotees, but it will take time to complete." He further added, "Due to the current circumstances, a visit to the Ram Darbar may be delayed until after the monsoon season."

Seven idols have been consecrated on the temple's first floor, with the central figure of the Ram Darbar flanked by idols of Hanuman, Surya, Ganpati, Annapurna, Bhagwati, and Shiva.

Grieving the Ram Mandir Priest

Recently, we mourn the loss of a revered Ram Temple priest, leaving an irreparable void in the spiritual world.[3]

Devotees Undeterred: A Tireless Pilgrimage

With limited access and enduring the scorching heat, devotees flock to the temple, stoically trudging through lengthy queues. Ramji Mishra, a pilgrim from Basti, shared, "The path to the sanctum is exceedingly long, and the stones grow unbearably hot under the sun." His companion, Sudhakar, added, "Wearing thick socks makes the visit more bearable in this weather."

The temple authorities have reiterated that the Ram Darbar will only be accessible to the public once all facilities are operational and proper crowd control measures are in place. The final ritual of hoisting the temple's flag is scheduled for October or November, once the weather becomes more favorable.
