Gold Credit Card Offering High Limit and Exclusive Benefits for Exclusive Customers
In a significant move, President Donald J. Trump has issued an executive order on September 19, 2025, to realign Federal immigration policy by introducing the Gold Card visa program. This new program, overseen by the Secretary of Commerce, aims to end illegal immigration and prioritise the admission of aliens who will benefit the Nation.
The Gold Card program allows aliens who make a significant financial gift to the Department of Commerce to establish eligibility for an immigrant visa. The requisite gift amount is $1 million for an individual donating on their own behalf and $2 million for a corporation or similar entity donating on behalf of an individual.
The Gold Card program is implemented by the Secretaries of Commerce, State, and Homeland Security within 90 days of the order. The costs for publishing the order are borne by the Department of Commerce.
Under the Gold Card program, Gold Card holders sponsored by a corporation or similar entity can abandon their status, and the original gift can be considered as evidence of eligibility for a different individual specified by the corporation or similar entity. The transferee will be subject to the same procedures as an original visa applicant.
The Gold Card program may be expanded to visa applicants under 8 U.S.C. 1153(b)(5). The order specifies that if any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions are unaffected.
The order also introduces maintenance and transfer fees for corporations or similar entities sponsoring individuals, as well as administrative fees for expedited processing under the Gold Card program. The gifts contributed under the Gold Card program will be used to promote commerce and American industry.
The person who started the Gold Card program is former U.S. President Donald Trump, with the program supported and promoted by U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The order is implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
The date for applicants to begin submitting gifts for consideration under the Gold Card program will be specified. The Gold Card program will establish a process for application, expedited adjudication of petitions, visa issuance, and adjustment of status. The order aims to end illegal immigration and prioritise the admission of aliens who will benefit the Nation.
