GoFundMe for Eric Dane's Daughters Surpasses £187K After His Passing
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the daughters of actor Eric Dane, who passed away on Thursday. The fundraiser, organised by his friend Mike McGuinness, aims to secure their future after the loss of their father. Over £187,000 has already been raised toward the £250,000 target.
Eric Dane died on February 19, nearly a year after receiving an ALS diagnosis in April 2025. He leaves behind his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, and their two daughters, Billie and Georgia. The funds collected will go directly toward their long-term needs.
The campaign was set up by McGuinness, who recently shared memories of a trip to Tokyo with Dane before his death. Among the donors are notable figures like Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and his wife Ashley Lent Levinson, who gave £27,000—the largest single contribution. Actors Alyssa Milano and producer Randall Emmett have also contributed.
As of Saturday morning, the GoFundMe had surpassed £187,000, with donations continuing to come in from supporters worldwide.
The money raised will provide financial stability for Dane's daughters in the years ahead. McGuinness and other donors have emphasised the importance of ensuring Billie and Georgia's future remains secure. The campaign remains open for further contributions.
